{"id":1148,"date":"2016-03-21T10:12:48","date_gmt":"2016-03-21T17:12:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dimitrakarakou.gr\/digitalmedia\/?p=1148"},"modified":"2022-09-16T01:24:32","modified_gmt":"2022-09-16T08:24:32","slug":"international-days","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dimitrakarakou.gr\/digitalmedia\/international-days\/","title":{"rendered":"International Days&#8230;&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have to admit that I love international days&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>We celebrate our birthdays.<\/p>\n<p>OK then so why not&#8230; human rights, music, woman, mothers, and all other days,<\/p>\n<p>Give us, mostly the opportunity to think, talk, &amp; act about a goal&#8230;..It is not only for celebration but it is time to wonder what we can do to change this world and make it a safer place for all of us.<\/p>\n<p>Today, I would like to wish you!<br \/>\n<strong><br \/>\nHappy Spring day&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Happy World Poetry Day<\/p>\n<p>Happy International Day of Forests<\/p>\n<p>Happy International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination<\/p>\n<p>Happy International Color Day \u263a \u263a \u263a<\/p>\n<p>How we can achieve our best if we are not happy\u2026&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>How often do we celebrate happiness?<\/p>\n<p>Find the one you love, the job you love, love what you do&#8230; Do the things you love&#8230;.etc., how many times have we heard these expressions&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Happiness is the key to success in your life Isn\u2019t it? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>However, the right to happiness (well-being) does not exist in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. If it existed, the policies would take it under consideration and there would be a brighter present and future for all European citizens.<br \/>\n<strong>Yesterday, it was the International Day of Happiness<\/strong>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.un.org\/en\/ga\/search\/view_doc.asp?symbol=%20A\/RES\/66\/281\" target=\"_blank\">declared by the United Nations<\/a>, so I strongly believe that it is the time to<strong> understand the relevance of happiness <\/strong>and well-being as universal goals and aspirations in the lives of human beings around the world and <strong>the importance of their recognition in public policy objectives.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If governments would accept that all people deserve to be happy then they could address their problems.<\/p>\n<p>Last but not least&#8230; I would like to ask you to take a look at the following link.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/secure.avaaz.org\/el\/petition\/Eyropaiko_Koinovoylio_European_Parliament_Katohyrosi_toy_dikaiomatos_tis_eydaimonias_stin_Eyropaiki_Enosi\/?niNMjjb\" target=\"_blank\">Declaration of the right of happiness in the European Union<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This website facilitates the collection of the necessary number of signatures with the aim to introduce the subject at the European Parliament and to ultimately achieve a more humanistic orientation of the European Union<\/p>\n<p><strong>because&#8230;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There has been accumulating evidence that in almost all European Union countries (including Greece) over 60% of people declare that they do not feel happy or very satisfied with life. The predominant philosophy in the European Union aims at the prosperity of economic figures, favoring policies that cause misery to many European citizens.
