As re: Publica says We look forward to new perspectives on the interconnected world we see in every corner of Europe. I took my speaker accreditation, and I go to explore the #re:publica #LoveOutLoud \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p><strong>Monday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Today I will present <a href=\"https:\/\/17.re-publica.com\/en\/17\/session\/museum-cultural-heritage-meetup\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Museum &amp; Cultural Heritage Meetup&#8221;<br \/>\n<\/a><br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1790\" src=\"https:\/\/dimitrakarakou.gr\/digitalmedia\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/05\/mySession.jpg\" alt=\"my session\" width=\"980\" height=\"350\" \/><br \/>\nI want to explore if &amp; how digitized representation of cultural objects can change people\u2019s cultural consciousness<\/p>\n<p>A digital representation of a sculpture as a united piece, e.g. a statue is located in two museums e.g.a statue&#8217;s body and its head are displayed in two different museums. This virtual reunification can stimulate people\u2019s interest in ancient cultural objects\u201d repatriation.<br \/>\nI am examing the case of the Parthenon monument. Is it right for the Parthenon monument\u2019s sculptures to be scattered in different museums around the world? The Parthenon is not a statue; it is a unique monument, a great achievement of humanity It is considered the symbol of democracy. Digital applications could offer the opportunity to see the Parthenon sculptures in one place.
