Time flies…. “Let’s re:connect EUROPE”.
re:publica comes in Thessaloniki
From 11/9 Wednesday 13/9 re:publica will be hosted at the Cinema Museum of Thessaloniki (Warehouse A) and the Stavros Tornes and John Cassavetes halls (Warehouse 1) in the Port of Thessaloniki.
The re:publica’s new project is entitled “Let’s re: connect EUROPE”.
The aim is to discuss digital Europe’s vision, explore the current challenges, and launch a cross-border cooperation platform. Its aim is to create spaces in which the digital community can come together, discuss, question, and celebrate. In accordance with the ‘re:connect EUROPE!’ motto, re:publica will be taking a closer look at the different tools which can help us to shape our shared future. Topics range from media & journalism to gamification, data visualization, refugee issues, and cultural heritage topics.
it is a great honor to be a part of re:publica as a speaker,
I will give a talk on “Are digitized cultural artworks connected with ancient artifacts and history?”
Is there a real connection between digitized cultural artworks with the real ancient culture? How the virtual representation of cultural objects can change people’s attitudes toward their cultural identity? Can an online representation contribute to people’s awareness? Can it play a key role in the issue of the ancient cultural artifacts’ repatriation to their origin place?
